ClearSilk

ClearSilk is a non-invasive laser treatment option designed for gentle skin rejuvenation. It works by delivering controlled laser energy beneath the skin’s surface to boost collagen production, improve blood circulation, promote a more even complexion, and boost skin health.

ClearSilk can treat a variety of concerns, including:

  • Redness and rosacea
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dull or uneven skin tone
  • Sun damage and pigmentation
  • Overall skin texture and glow

The ClearSilk laser can be used on many different areas, including the face, neck, chest, arms, abdomen, and legs.

ClearV

ClearV is a laser treatment specifically created to target vascular issues by addressing redness and unwanted veins. It employs precise laser energy to collapse blood vessels without damaging the surrounding skin.

As the gold standard for treating vascular skin concerns, the ClearV treatment can address the following:

  • Spider veins and broken capillaries
  • Rosacea-related redness
  • Cherry angiomas
  • Port wine stains
  • Other vascular lesions

The ClearV laser can be used on many areas of the face and body, including the face, neck, chest, arms, legs, abdomen, and feet.

Before Your Procedure

The first step toward your ClearSilk or ClearV treatment is a consultation at our Fort Wayne, IN, practice. During this meeting, you can discuss your aesthetic concerns and medical history, after which a personalized treatment plan can be created for you.

To prepare for your treatment, you should avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning at least one to two weeks prior to treatment. On the day of treatment, your skin should be clean and free of lotions, makeup, and sunscreen.

Your Procedure

Both ClearSilk and ClearV treatments are non-invasive laser treatments, though they are designed with different concerns in mind. While ClearSilk focuses on gentle skin rejuvenation, ClearV targets vascular concerns such as visible vessels.

During your ClearSilk or ClearV treatment, your provider will pass the laser over the skin using a handheld device. For the ClearSilk treatment, patients may experience a gentle warming sensation as the laser stimulates collagen production. Those undergoing the ClearV treatment may experience a warming or snapping sensation, as the goal is to gently eliminate vascular structures.

The length of your treatment session may vary depending on the size of the treated area.

After Your Procedure

Following your ClearSilk or ClearV treatment, you may experience temporary skin redness or swelling. However, these effects should be temporary and resolve with time. There is no downtime required, so you can return to your regular activities. We will provide you with specific aftercare instructions to ensure proper skin healing and optimal results. These may include avoiding hot showers and vigorous exercise after treatment, as well as using sunscreen daily to prevent pigmentation changes.

Understanding the Risks

Both ClearSilk and ClearV by Sciton are considered safe, non-invasive laser treatments with minimal risks. However, as with any laser procedure, there are potential side effects and risks that patients should be aware of. Common and mild side effects may include redness or flushing, skin sensitivity, peeling, bruising, or temporary darkening of veins. Less common risks may include hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, blistering or burns, and, very rarely, scarring. Our team takes all required precautions to reduce these risks and achieve the results you desire.

I have worked with docs all over the Midwest and would have to say that Dr. Lee is one of the most professional, caring and artistic I have ever seen. He helped me after I had lost over 100 pounds and had a huge amount of excess fat hanging on me. It is now gone, and he is still following up with me to make sure all is well. His staff (Candy, Jen and Shauna) need to be thanked as well. You all complement Dr. Lee.

Results of Your Procedure

ClearSilk patients can enjoy more evenly toned, radiant skin after their first session, while collagen production will continue to improve over time. ClearV patients may notice that some treated veins will shrink or darken immediately, while others may take several weeks to fade.

Multiple treatment sessions may be required to achieve optimal results.

Frequently Asked Questions About ClearSilk and ClearV

Are ClearSilk and ClearV safe for all skin types?

Yes, both ClearSilk and ClearV are safe for all skin types, including darker skin tones. However, individuals with a higher risk of hyperpigmentation should consult with their provider to ensure the treatment settings are adjusted appropriately for their skin type.

Can ClearV treat embarrassing spider veins?

Yes, ClearV is highly effective at treating spider veins, as well as broken capillaries, rosacea-related redness, and other vascular concerns. The 1064nm Nd:YAG laser precisely targets visible veins, causing them to shrink and fade over time.

What happens to the treated veins following ClearV?

After treatment, the targeted veins collapse and are gradually reabsorbed by the body. Some veins may disappear immediately, while others take a few weeks to fully fade. The body naturally processes the treated veins, and they do not return, though new veins may develop over time.

Can ClearSilk and ClearV be combined with other laser treatments?

Yes! ClearSilk and ClearV can be combined with other laser treatments. ClearSilk is often paired with other treatments for comprehensive skin rejuvenation, while ClearV can be combined with lasers targeting pigmentation or texture concerns. Our team can customize a treatment plan based on your specific needs.
